Who we are

Halal Near Me is a directory of halal businesses in the UK, and a product of AKZMDigital. These terms are an agreement between you and AKZMDigital (trading as Halal Near Me). By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Questions can go to hello@halalnearme.co.uk.

What the service is, and is not

We list businesses and show what we know about them, including where that information came from and how confident we are in it. Many listings are drawn from public sources and have not been independently checked by us. A listing on Halal Near Me is not a certification, endorsement, or guarantee that a business is halal, open, accurate, or suitable for your needs. Halal status can change, and only the business and its certifier can speak to it definitively. Always confirm directly with the business if it matters to you.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account.
• You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
• You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We explain what happens to your data in our privacy notice.

Acceptable use

When you use the site you agree not to:

• submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including fake claims, reviews, or reports;
• claim a business you are not entitled to manage;
• break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or post abusive, hateful, or unlawful content;
• scrape, copy, or reuse the directory at scale without our written permission;
• interfere with the site's security or normal operation, or attempt to access data you are not authorised to see.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.

Business listings and claims

If you claim or manage a listing, you confirm you are authorised to act for that business and that the information you provide is accurate. You are responsible for what you publish on your listing. We may verify claims, and we may decline or reverse a claim where we are not satisfied it is genuine. Verification and certification labels reflect our process at a point in time and can lapse or be withdrawn.

Content you submit

You keep ownership of content you submit. By submitting it you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use it to run and promote the directory. You confirm you have the right to grant this and that your content does not break the law or infringe anyone's rights.

Our content

The site, its design, and the directory as a whole are owned by Halal Near Me or our licensors and are protected by law. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. Some place data and photography is provided by third parties such as Google and remains subject to their terms.

No warranty

The site is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that listings are accurate, complete, current, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on a listing or on information on the site, or for indirect or consequential loss. Decisions about whether a business meets your needs, including whether its food is halal, are yours to make.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a significant change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let account holders know. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
